Preferred Solutions Healthcare connects hospitals with qualified physicians for temporary and long-term assignments, managing physician credentialing, scheduling, and coordination with hospitals to ensure smooth and reliable medical coverage.

The client managed scheduling, credentialing, and communication manually, using spreadsheets and emails. This process was time-consuming, error-prone, and difficult to scale, especially with a growing number of physicians and hospital partnerships.

We developed Preferred Connect — a centralized platform to manage every step of physician-hospital collaboration.

A centralized scheduling system allows Admins and Recruiters to create, update, and manage physician assignments. The calendar view provides weekly and monthly overviews, making it easy to track coverage and avoid conflicts.

Automated filtering ensures that only available physicians with the right specialty and hospital preferences appear in the assignment list — reducing manual errors and speeding up the process of finding the right match.

Preferred Connect supports flexible rate configurations to match real-world hospital agreements, including:

• Default vs custom rates
• Fixed vs variable rate structures
• Holiday rules and multipliers
• Contract details per specialty, with clear control of what applies for each assignment

This ensures the system can support complex agreements while keeping scheduling and billing logic consistent.

All Confirmation Letters are generated automatically and sent to physicians through PandaDoc for e-signature, eliminating paper-based workflows and ensuring legal compliance.

Signed Confirmation Letters are automatically stored in the Files section of the platform, providing easy access and secure record-keeping for both Admins and Recruiters — documents are never lost and can be quickly found when needed.

• Tracking days of coverage — a dedicated reporting view provides clear visibility into coverage by Hospital, Specialty, and Physician, supporting planning and operational analytics
• Referral options — a flexible referral workflow with automated calculations helps the team track referrals and apply rewards and credits consistently

Our partnership with Preferred Solutions Healthcare is ongoing. Together, we continue to enhance the Preferred Connect platform by adding new features and improvements critical for daily operations and long-term growth. Current areas of focus include:

• Additional agreements (in progress) — supporting contract renewals by allowing future scheduling while rates are still being negotiated, with a clear draft-to-final workflow for updated contract terms
• Invoice generation (planned) — generating invoices directly from approved timekeeping, contract rates, and assignment data to reduce manual billing work and improve financial accuracy
• Physician receipt submission (planned) — enabling Physicians to submit receipts (travel, fuel, tolls, baggage) directly in the platform to streamline reimbursement workflows

These upcoming features will further reduce manual work, improve transparency, and provide valuable insights for administrators.
